Salmon Burger at Dog and Bull Croydon

A childhood/teenagehood/college friend of mine, who now lives in Japan, was in town this past summer for a visit, (and hopefully, I will be visiting her soon!).  Apparently, real hearty burgers are hard to find in Japan.  Cue the greasy American bar food!  Not too greasy though since I at least opted for the Salmon Burger.  We had drinks and dinner at Dog and Bull.  Pretty sure, this is Croydon’s finest, and I’m pretty sure the beer selection there is bigger than the bar.

She described a food I had never heard before called “natto“, which consists of fermented soybeans. The texture is supposed to be slimy and gross. Some foreigners can get over the taste, but the texture is supposed to be the last thing Westerners want in their mouths.  Learning about all this made me want to try it more of course.  A girl can dream.
